Penny McNamee

Penny has fast established herself as a versatile performer – appearing in musical theatre, television and film in Australiaand internationally.
Her musical theatre career started at the age of 19 when she was cast as one of the leads in Jacobsen Entertainment & Cameron Mackintosh’s 2002 production of Witches of Eastwick. Her portrayal of the lead juvenile role Jennifer Gabriel saw her nominated for a MO Award.

Her career soon blossomed into television and in 2003 she was cast as a supporting lead in the US mini-series remake of Stephen King’s Salem’s Lot alongside Rob Lowe and Donald Sutherland. Guest roles in popular Australian series White Collar Blue, All Saints & Headland quickly followed.

In 2005 Penny received critical acclaim for her portrayal of Donna in the Griffin Theatre’s production of Hurlyburly at the Stables Theatre in Sydney . In that same year, Penny landed her first lead role playing Melissa in the US feature film See No Evil. Her latest project sees Penny play the role of Hope in the Stephen Speilberg & Tom Hank’s produced mini-series The Pacific, to be screened in Australia in 2009.
